Dan Weberg, PhD, RN is an expert in nursing, healthcare innovation, and human-centered patient design with extensive clinical experience in emergency departments, acute inpatient settings, and academia. As Head of Clinical Innovation for Trusted Health, a clinical staffing platform, he helps drive product strategy and innovation for the healthcare workforce. Dan hosts a healthcare podcast for Trusted Health called The Handoff.

Previously, Dan spent 7 years at Kaiser Permanente in executive roles in nursing innovation, research, and technology strategy across 8 regions, 38 hospitals, 60,000 nurses. He was on the founding faculty for KP’s new School of Medicine. Dan is also on faculty at The Ohio State University College of Nursing and multiple innovation fellowship programs. He has taught nursing innovation and leadership at Arizona State University. He is on the editorial board for Nursing Administration Quarterly and has authored two dozen peer-reviewed articles and two textbooks, including Leadership for Evidence-Based Innovation in Nursing and Health Professions.

Dan earned his BSN at ASU, was in the first cohort of ASU’s Master’s in Healthcare Innovation program, and was the first-ever graduate of ASU’s PhD in Healthcare Innovation Leadership program. He has worked in Emergency and Trauma nursing at level 1 trauma centers in CA and AZ.
